The Managing Authority of the European Territorial Cooperation Programmes – based in Thessaloniki – manages and monitors European Territorial Cooperation Programs (INTERREG). These Programs aim to address common cross-border and transnational challenges, support synergies through joint partnerships and establish strong partnerships with a view to balanced economic, social and spatial development at European level.
The Managing Authority is responsible for the managing and monitoring of six cross-border and transnational INTERREG Programs:
- Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A “Greece – Bulgaria 2014-2020”
- Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A “Greece – Italy 2014-2020”
- Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A “Greece – Cyprus 2014-2020”
- Cross-border Cooperation Programme IPA INTERREG “Greece –Albania 2014-2020”
- Cross-border Cooperation Programme IPA INTERREG “Greece – Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020”
- Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-B “Balkan – Mediterranean2014-2020”
The Managing Authority acts as the National Authority of the other INTERREG Programs, in which Greece participates:

- Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-B “Adriatic – Ionian2014-2020”
- ENI Cross –border Cooperation Programme “Mediterranean Sea Basin 2014-2020”
